Comments: Toddler with hemophilia bleeds after circumcision

F

eb. 21, Online

Haikal Syafi’i, a 3-year-old with hemophilia, has been receiving repeated treatment in hospital for severe bleeding from a circumcision wound.

Haikal from Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), was taken to Gerung Hospital in Lombok Barat after a mass circumcision event last month. He continued to suffer constant bleeding so his parents took him to Bhayangkara Hospital in Mataram, NTB.

Your comments:

It is an obligation of medical experts to assess the suitability of circumcision before performing the religious ritual. As Muslims, we know that circumcision for males is obligatory and we should obviously not listen to modernist liberals who make weak arguments to abolish the practice (which is performed by approximately 35 percent of humanity).
