he vice president of Operator Solutions at ZTE Corporation, Sean Cai, has been working in the telecommunications industry for more than 20 years, specializing in advanced wireless products research and ICT network solutions development.

He joined ZTE in 2002 and he is now responsible for innovation, new technology and global marketing strategy development. Cai also leads a team of experts in ZTE's research and development centers in San Diego, California in the US.

Cai is an active user of the 4G long term evolution (LTE) and says that he has been addicted to it since the first time he used it.

'I'm fully adapted to 4G, there's no way for me to go back to 3G,' he says.

Cai says the development of wireless data connection technology has to some extent changed the way people live a life today, as it has been able to provide more stable and much faster data transfer for mobile devices.
Apple's iPhone 5s and iPad mini

Basically in the US, I use them for work, emails. I also use it to search something on Google, or just browse the Internet. When I travel within the US, I often use my phone to watch news, read news, read e-books and use social media as well.

I use Apple because it is one of the early adapters to LTE, and I found in the early days before Apple added 3G, they used interface. I liked their user interface, and I thought it was a consumer-oriented product.

My phone is bundled with the LTE service in the US, so it is unlimited in my case. But usually, I use my phone for about two hours a day and two hours is a lot for me.

ZTE phones

I use my ZTE phones when I travel outside the US. I have changed ZTE phones quite a few times. I previously used Grand S, now I use nubia obviously. I think later on, because the new nubia just came out, I will probably try out the new nubia.

Camera phones

I like some parts of the camera phones to take instant pictures. For example, before I pick up my suit, I take pictures of my suits, send them to my wife and ask which one to put on.

WeChat and Weibo

I look at where my friends and colleagues are. In my case, I fondly use WeChat. Before, I also used Weibo, it's like Twitter in China, but it is less popular now.

Navigation systems

I play golf, so I like to use the GPS. I like to carry the navigation system when I use my phone.
