Singer Tulus is known for his romantic and poetic lyrics, and he says he always relies on the Great Dictionary of Indonesian Language (KBBI) to write them.
'The KBBI is my reference. And it has been so good writing lyrics using the proper Indonesian language,' he said as quoted by tempo.co.
The singer who is famous for his hit 'Kisah Sebentar' (Short Story) said the Indonesian language had a wide vocabulary which could result in beautiful compositions if it was arranged carefully.
Besides the KBBI, Tulus also loves reading literature to enrich his vocabulary.
'I'm comfortable with my habit of writing lyrics using Indonesian properly because I'm an Indonesian,' said the man who was chosen as the 2013 Rookie of The Year by Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine.
