Guess what?: Asri Welas delves into local fashion

Kapanlagi.com

After attending a fashion event in New York, actress Asri '€œWelas'€ Pramawati says that she wants to sell traditional Indonesian designs on her personal website.

'€œI really want to open a market [for Indonesian products] there [New York]. I will likely use my site, Asri Welas, to reach the international market,'€ she told kapanlagi.com recently.

Asri, who presented her kebaya collection during the Couture New York Fashion Week, in February, said she would encourage local designers and home-based industries to sell their wares on her website.

The actress also has plans to sell her batik designs to the state-owned railway firm PT Kereta Api Indonesia.

'€œI will make the batik fabric to decorate their dining cars.'€
