South Korean rapper and actor Choi Seunghyun, more well-known by his stage name TOP, has started the production of a TV drama series with Japanese actress Ueno Juri.
Juri reportedly flew to Seoul to start shooting with TOP in an undisclosed location on Wednesday, kapanlagi.com reported.
YG Entertainment, which manages TOP, confirmed that the member of the Big Bang band had his first shoot with Juri for the joint production of South Korean powerhouse CJ E&M and Japanese artist management group Amuse Inc.
The series, for which a title has not been released, will revolve around the relationships of Woo Hyun (TOP) and Haruka (Juri), who are both unfortunate when it comes to love. It will be the second TV series for TOP after IRIS (2009). He also starred in the recently released Tazza 2.
Juri found fame after her appearances in
a number of popular TV series in Japan, including Nodame Cantabile, Last Friends and Ouroboros.
