Actress Happy Salma worked hard to play her role as dangdut singer in theater show #3Perempuanku, Bukan Bunga Bukan Lelaki (#My3women, Not Flowers Not Men).

Despite having experience performing the jaipong traditional dance, Happy found it hard to shake her hips like a dangdut singer.

'€œ[When I was practicing], a friend told me '€˜you are not moving your hips'€™,'€she was quoted as saying by tribunnews.com.

The monolog, adapted from Putu Farjar Arcana'€™s book titled Monolog Politik (Political monolog), tells the story of three women of different social classes who are all married to a gangster-turned-politician in Jakarta.

During Saturday'€™s performance, directed by Rangga Bhuana Riantiarno, Happy shared the stage with presenter Olga Lydia and former president Abdurrahman '€œGus Dur'€ Wahid'€™s daughter Inayah Wahid.
