Jakarta Great Online Sale to enliven city’s anniversary

akarta’s 489th anniversary is just around the corner and the capital has been enlivened with various festivities to celebrate, including the Jakarta Great Online Sale.
Being held for the fourth time, the online sale is set to run from Jun. 20 to 26, giving customers the opportunity to purchase various goods from numerous online shops at discounts of up to 95 percent.
The offers get even more attractive with additional discounts from event partners such as state-owned Bank Mandiri and state-owned telecommunication company Telkomsel.
"We hope that with this event, we can boost the development of both the e-commerce industry and of digital transactions in Greater Jakarta,” said Sutanto Soehodho, assistant to the Jakarta governor for industry, trade and transportation affairs, on Thursday.
The grand sale involves numerous prominent online shops, such as fashion trader Berry Benka, beauty care center Sephora and gadget shop erafone.com. (bbn)
