livier restaurant manager Devi Siagian testified in the trial of murder suspect Jessica Kumala Wongso on Wednesday at the Central Jakarta District Court, claiming that Jessica seemed restless and anxious while waiting for the arrival of Wayan Mirna Salihin at the restaurant on Jan. 6.
“She kept looking at other patrons and continuously moved her bag. She also played with her hair,” Devi told the court.
Meanwhile, prosecutors could not confirm Devi’s statement because CCTV footage of Jessica was unclear. “The IT expert will enlarge the image,” a prosecutor said.
Devi also said that Jessica was reluctant to help Mirna while the latter convulsed after taking a sip of iced coffee on Jan. 6.
“I even told her to move out of the way as she was blocking me while I was trying to help Mirna. I was confused, it was her friend who was sick, but we were busier than her,” Devi said, adding that Jessica seemed calm during the incident.
While Mirna was taken to a clinic, Devi said she checked CCTV footage that showed Jessica from when she ordered drinks until the incident happened. (bbn)
