awyer of murder suspect Jessica Kumala Wongso, Otto Hasibuan, has rejected the validity of CCTV footage enhanced by digital forensic expert Adj. Sr. Comr. Mohammad Nuh Al-Azhar, saying such footage was inadmissible as evidence.

Nuh previously said he had copied the original Olivier footage to be examined frame by frame.

Not all of the images from the footage recorded by the three CCTV cameras on the premises can be seen clearly without forensic enhancement, Nuh said.

"Enhanced CCTV footage is not original footage. We don't know if we can trust the recording’s validity," Otto said at the court.

Nuh responded by saying that it had been necessary to enhance the recording to examine it.

"The CCTV footage would mean nothing without forensic examination. We didn't edit the original footage but examined it piece by piece using algorithm," Nuh said.

Nuh said the series of events showed in the footage was clear like an “almost complete puzzle”. He claimed that although the footage did not show Jessica put cyanide in the glass, the series of events showed that Jessica did it.  "The evidence can talk," Nuh said. (bbn)
