he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is questioning former finance minister Agus Martowardojo in its investigation into alleged irregularities related to electronic identification cards (e-KTP) procurement at the Home Ministry on Tuesday.
KPK spokesperson Yuyuk Andriati Iskak said the commission’s investigators needed Agus’ testimony in his capacity as a witness for its investigation into two officials it had named suspects in the case.
They are the Home Ministry’s former director general for population and civil registration Irman and Sugiharto, former population administration information management director at the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration.

“Agus will be questioned on budget and budgeting mechanisms related to the e-KTP project,” Yuyuk told The Jakarta Post on Tuesday.
It is estimated that the alleged irregularities have inflicted Rp 2 trillion (US$153.42 million) in financial losses to the state.
Agus, who currently serves as Bank Indonesia's governor, previously skipped two questioning sessions at the antigraft body. (fac/ebf)
