resident Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo are scheduled to take part in an attempt to break a tree planting record in Tuban, East Java on Monday. 

Jokowi would join more than 5,500 people aiming to plant 238,000 trees within an hour to break the Guinness World Record, the Presidential Office press statement read. 

The event has been organized in observance of Indonesian tree planting and national tree-planting month. The event will be held in Tasikharjo village, Jenu, Tuban regency in East Java. 

According to the press statement, Jokowi and his entourage were scheduled to depart Halim Perdanakusumah airbase in East Jakarta on Monday morning for Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo. From Juanda, the President would fly to Tuban using an Air Force Super Puma chopper. 

Aside from the tree-planting event, Jokowi is also scheduled to inspect a village fund project in Jenu subdistrict. 

The President will return to Jakarta after lunch. (dmr)
