“Usually, women do not attract suspicion and can blend into large groups more easily. That is why terrorist groups are using them,” National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said on Saturday as reported by tribunnews.com.

In the last two weeks, the National Police’s counterterrorism squad Densus 88 has arrested four women for their alleged involvement in terrorist networks, including a group led by Nur Solihin.
The first to be arrested was Dian Yulia Novia in Bekasi, West Java, who is suspected of being the assigned perpetrator of a planned suicide bombing at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
The second woman is Solihin’s wife, Arinda Putri Maharani who is alleged to be an accessory to the crime. The third woman, identified only by the initials TS, a resident of Tasikmalaya, West Java, is believed to have recruited Dian to join the terrorist group. The fourth woman, Ika Puspitasari, was arrested on Thursday in Purworejo, Central Java. (jun)
