View all search resultshe Social Affairs Ministry has promised to channel monthly funds for flood victims in Bima. It has pledged a maximum of Rp 900,000 (US$67) a month for three months on top of a maximum Rp 3 million per family to help them repair their homes.
The ministry will prioritize provision of funds for those whose houses have been heavily damaged, a press release made available Monday said.
“The ministry will give relief aid to victims whose houses are heavily damaged,” the ministry’s director general for social protection and security, Harry Hikmat, said in the release.

The aid will be chanelled after the emergency transition period and will use data from the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) and Public Works and Housing Ministry.
Harry said so far the ministry had disbursed Rp 980 million in emergency kits for flood victims in Bima. (evi)
