Seven people died and three others were injured in a car crash on the Cipali toll road in Majalengka regency, West Java, on Sunday.
The 10 victims were travelling to Palimanan, Cirebon, from Cikopo, Tangerang, in a Daihatsu Luxio. The driver lost control of the car and it hit the back of a Tronton truck.
“The Luxio carried 10 passengers. Seven of them were killed while three others suffered injuries,” West Java Police’s traffic director Sr. Comr. Tomex Kurniawan said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Sunday.
Most of the dead and injured victims have been identified as residents of Kuningan.
“Two dead victims are still being identified,” said Tomex.
All of the victims were taken to the Arjawinangun Hospital in Cirebon, he went on to say. (ebf)

- Aan Sawaludin, the driver, a resident of RT 3 / RW 2, Sukaharja village, Cibingbin district, Kuningan.
- Dinah, 32, a resident of RT 9 / RW 4 Kampung Tengah, Cikandang village, Luragung district, Kuningan.
- Rosin, 58, a resident RT 6 / RW 5, Sindang Jawa village, Cibingbin district, Kuningan.
- Laila Aqmarina, 20, a resident of Kampung Ketos, Pasar Kemis sub-district, Tangerang regency, Banten.
- Elah Siti Hofilah, 18, a resident of Sindang Jawa village, Cibingbin district, Kuningan.
- Alimansyah, 20, a resident of RT 1 / RW 2 Ciangir village, Cibingbin district, Kuningan.
- Kusmara, 41, a resident of RT 2 / RW 2 Ciangir village, Cibingbin district, Kuningan.
- Eli Handayani, 19, a resident of RT 4 / RW 1 Kampung Langensari, Sukamaju village, Cibingbin district, Kuningan.
