akarta governor and incumbent gubernatorial candidate Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama said he had a telephone conversation with rival candidate Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and running mate Sylviana Murni shortly after quick counts showed that the governor was leading in the election on Wednesday.
"I talked to [Agus] last night, as well as to Sylviana because [Sylviana and I] have known each other well for quite a long time. I also sent my regards to Yudhoyono," Ahok told journalists at City Hall in Central Jakarta on Thursday.
He was referring to Agus' father, former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
When asked about his plan ahead of the second round of the Jakarta gubernatorial race, however, Ahok refused to comment.
"Just ask my campaign team about it. I only want to talk about work here," he said.
