View all search resultshousand Islands Public Housing and Settlement Agency has allocated Rp 9 billion (US$673,150) to build five child-friendly integrated public spaces (RPTRA) this year.
"The plans have already entered the tender phase at the provincial level. I expect that by April, we can start building them," agency head Romel Pasaribu said on Pramuka Island on Monday, adding that the parks would be designed in accordance with the islands’ conditions.
Beritajakarta.com reported that the RPTRAs would be built in five different locations, namely on Panggang, Kelapa, Tidung, Harapan and Lancang islands.
He added that the agency was mulling to build a residence hall and mini RPTRA on Sebira Island, as requested by the residents in the area. "We will follow up on the plan after surveying the location," he said. (fac)
