Tribunnews.com reported at least twice that the Saudi king was seen chatting with the granddaughter of Sukarno, Indonesia’s founding father and first president.
Wearing a gold-yellow batik gown and black headscarf, Puan who is also the daughter of former president Megawati Soekarnoputri, was seen to nod as Salman talked and President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo looked on.

Sukarno is known to have had a close relationship with Saudi Arabia’s second king, Saud Abdulaziz Al Saud. Sukarno met Saud while on haj in Saudia Arabia in 1955.
Saudi Arabia is a member of the Non-Alignment Movement, a bloc of developing countries co-founded by Sukarno in 1961. The bloc wanted to remain aloof from the western and eastern blocs during the cold war. (jun)
