O

n Sunday, the three-day festival’s final day, hundreds of the festival attendees, including vendors and media partner representatives, had to wait for hours under the scorching sun at the JIExpo exhibition hall in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

"The server is down," explained Sarah, a ticketing staff member. And there was no clear time line when the server would be back online.

Visitors who had waited since before 2 p.m. in a hope to enter the venues at 3 p.m. to watch the first scheduled show slowly grew impatient and started demanding the gates be opened. They finally entered at around 3:45 p.m.

The festival, which aims to return to its jazz roots this year, is scheduled to present world renowned performers, from Grammy Award-winning singer, composer and producer Ne-Yo to jazz icon Chick Corea Elektic Band, on Sunday. (ste)
