he Tangerang District Court in Banten is set to hold the first hearing of the lawsuit filed by petitioner Sumber Alfaria Trijaya (Alfamart) against resident Mustolih Siradj and the Central Information Commission (KIP) on Wednesday.
The move has been seen as a retaliation against the commission's ruling in December, which instructed the publicly listed minimarket chain to disclose data related to donations collected by its convenience stores from the small change consumers do not want to take.
"Today's session is scheduled for 9 a.m.," said Mustolih as quoted by kompas.com.
He said he was surprised by the lawsuit because he was only questioning Alfamart's transparency in managing donation funds.
In the suit, the KIP was listed as the first defendant with Mustolih as the second defendant.

On March 3, Alfamart Corporate Communication General Manager Alfamart Nur Rachman explained that Mustolih's demand was irrelevant to transparency issues.
"He also asked for [Alfamart's] statute, SOP [Standard Operational Procedures] and the MoU with the Foundations who
receive the donations. He asked for a total of 11 documents," said Nur.
Nur claimed that the company was only obliged to publish the report on the donations through the mass media. (dis/bbs)
