View all search resultsundreds of angkot (public minivan) drivers parked their vehicles on Jl. Ahmad Yani in Bekasi, West Java, on Tuesday afternoon as a form of their protest against the revocation of the Bulan-Bulan to Bekasi station route.
The drivers parked about 350 vehicles on Jl. Ahmad Yani, causing a traffic jam along the arterial road.
"We want to be allowed to pick up passengers in front of Bekasi station again," said the protestor's spokesman Ucok Pardede as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.
He added that because of the route revocation, drivers' income had slumped significantly.
He further said that the drivers would keep staging rallies until Bekasi mayor Rahmat Effendi was willing to meet them. (agn)
