ogor Mayor Bima Arya asked the managements of app-based public transportation services to visit his office on Friday following clashes between their drivers and those of public minivans.
“We will invite the app-based transportation services’ owners. It is unreasonable if they do not meet the invitation,” Bima said on Thursday afternoon as quoted by wartakotanews.com, adding that the owners had to be committed to addressing the issue.
He said the owners had the capacity to organize their apps, therefore the brawl could have been avoided.
The brawl between the two groups broke out in Bogor, West Java, on Monday evening following rumors that their fellow drivers had fallen victim to alleged beatings. A number of minivans were damaged in the brawl. (vny)
