en routes traveled by Koperasi Wahana Kalpika (KWK) public minivans will soon serve passengers of PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) buses without charging additional payment after both parties worked out an agreement on the designated routes.
In a statement received by The Jakarta Post on Wednesday, Transjakarta public relations officer Wibowo said the ten routes were Tanjung Priok-Bulak Turi, Kelapa Gading-Rawamangun bus terminal, Semper-Tipar Cakung, Pulogadung-Pejuang Jaya, Rawamangun-Klender, Cililitan bus terminal-Condet, Cililitan-Munjul, Pondok Labu-Pasar Kebayoran Lama, Lebak Bulus-Petukangan and Rawa Buaya-Grogol.
“Transjakarta passengers won’t be charged when they take minivans serving those routes,” Wibowo said, adding that the number of the routes might be increased in the future.
Previously, Transjakarta president director Budi Kaliwono said the integration would bring more advantages, such as attracting more customers and lowering public transportation fares.
The KWK cooperative will reportedly launch Sahabat KWK cards, which will be valid for multiple rides on Transjakarta buses from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. as part of the integration of services.
“This mode of integration will hopefully increase the use of public transportation, especially public minivans and Transjakarta buses. Our services will also be expanded and more accessible,” he said.
