Indonesian literary writer Ajip Rosidi, 78, and senior actress Nani Widjaja, 72, plan to get married in Cirebon, West Java, in April, Kompas daily newspaper reported.

Speaking at Obor Publishing office in Jakarta in March, Ajip said there would not be a wedding reception nor invitations, as they wanted to keep it simple. The wedding ceremony’s date was still tentative, he said.

Ajip said romance was not a big factor when the two decided to tie the knot.

“We are already grandparents. We met a month ago and agreed to get married. We were both just looking for a friend,” he said as quoted by Kompas.

Ajip’s wife, Fatimah, died two years ago, while Nani’s husband, film director Misbach Yusa Biran, died in 2012.
