Six upstream oil and gas projects started operating in the first quarter of the year.
"They started operating between January and March. We hope that their production will increase as time goes on," secretary of the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKKMigas), Budi Agustyono, said in Cilegon, Banten, on Friday.
The six projects are the Ario Damar-Sriwijaya, Kepodang Phase II, Ridho, Cikarang Tegal Pacing, PHE 12 and CPP 2 projects.

The project production rates range from 2,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) to 12,650 bopd, and 1.7 million metric standard cubic feet of gas (mmscfd) to 33 mmscfd.
The Kepodang Phase II project is the only one that has not increased production as it only involved facility modifications.
SKKMigas also aims to see two other projects start operating by the end of this month, namely the SKG Musi Timur and Paku Gajak projects. (bbn)
