ifestyle furnishing retailer PT Home Center Indonesia, popularly known as Informa, signed a cooperation agreement on Friday to distribute technology based office furniture manufactured by Sunon Group of China in the domestic market.
Informa managing director Meutia Kumala said under the agreement, her company would sell Sunon's latest products, including room separators, curved bulkheads, desks and seat sets, at its 65 stores nationwide.
Sunon’s bulkheads, designed with advanced technology segmented for millennials, can reduce noise by up to 20 percent, while its desks have adjustable height, which can be used for working while sitting or standing, according to the company’s statement.

To boost sales, Informa will open five more stores in several big cities this year, including Bandung in West Java and Surabaya in East Java, Meutia said, adding that her company was considering opening other stores in cities outside Java.
Sunon's marketing director for Southeast Asia, Ryan Qu Xinyu, said his company saw huge potential for the Indonesian furniture market to grow. (yon/hwa)
