Two explosions occurred at the Kampung Melayu bus station on Wednesday evening, killing three police officers and two alleged suicide bombers. A dozen people were injured in the blasts.
The National Police have said the Kampung Melayu suicide bomb attack was likely linked to the Islamic State (IS) movement.
The attack is similar to a terrorist attack that occurred near the Arjuna subdistrict office in Bandung, West Java, in February. IS-affiliated Jamaah Anshar Daulah (JAD) is believed to be behind the Bandung attack. (ebf)
