ity-owned company PD Dharma Jaya plans to accommodate an anticipated increase in demand for meat during Ramadhan and Idul Fitri by preparing over 500 tons of beef and delivery vehicles for the distribution process.
Dharma Jaya president director Marina Ratna Dwi Kusumajati said that by maintaining a supply of meat, the city administration could stabilize meat prices in the market. She said that in addition to preparing 550 tons of meat, the company would also receive 900 cows.
Dharma Jaya also made plans to deploy 50 extra motorcycles to deliver meat ordered through its online system, she said.
“Currently we have 11 motorcycles. We will add 50 more and they will be deployed throughout the city,” Marina said as quoted by beritajakarta.id.
Public response to the online transaction system, she said, was positive as five motorcycles could deliver meat to more than 50 locations in one day. (idb)
