roperty developer Duta Pertiwi (DUTI) is aiming for Rp 1 trillion (US$75 million) in property sales this year despite only booking Rp 150 billion in the first quarter.
The figure does not include recurring income from rental fees from its International Trade Centers (ITCs) shopping facilities.
“The Rp 150 billion is from buyers that have signed PPJB (Conditional Sales and Purchase Agreement),” the firm vice president director, Lie Jani Harjanto, told reporters after a public expo at the International Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City on Friday.
“We record many more buyers aside from that, but [they] haven’t completed the administration process.”
The firm aims to hit the target by selling its houses and shop-houses (ruko) in Grand Wisata in Bekasi and Kota Wisata in Cibubur, both in West Java; as well as the soon-to-launch Southgate TB Simatupang project in Tanjung Barat, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.
Southgate TB Simatupang is a mix-used development that includes retail malls, offices, serviced apartments, hotels and condominiums on 5.4 hectare plot of land that will be fully constructed by 2020.
In the first quarter, Duta Pertiwi booked Rp 418 billion in revenue from marketing sales and rental fees, a 1.7 percent increase year on year (yoy), and Rp 149.6 billion net profit , a 2.9 percent increase yoy.
Lie said that to maintain sales during the weak property sales trend of today, the firm was focusing on developing properties for end users rather than for investors. (bbn)
