olice have arrested one of two men they believe to have been involved in a robbery attempt in Tangerang, Banten, that ended with the death of Italia Chandra Kirana Putri, 22.
The dentistry student at Trisakti University was shot in the chest on June 12 after she attacked a man with a broomstick when she caught two people attempting to steal her motorcycle at her housing complex in Tangerang, Banten.
“I will give more information about the arrest tomorrow,” Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. M. Iriawan said on Wednesday as quoted by Antara news agency, adding that he had not yet received the official report about the arrest.
Iriawan said the men were known to police and they were suspected of having been behind several robberies. (hol)
