round 200 paragliders from 15 countries will participate in the 2017 Mantar Paragliding Competition in West Sumbawa regency in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The competition is scheduled to take place from July 18 to July 24.
“This is the fifth year for us to hold the international paragliding event in Mantar village, which is located around 640 meters above the sea level,” West Sumbawa Agency head IGB Sumbawanto said on Wednesday.
He further said the paragliding competition was expected to help promote Mantar village, which was one of West Sumbawa regency’s main tourist attractions.
The West Sumbawa Tourism Agency will hold the competition in cooperation with the NTB Tourism Agency and the NTB chapter of the Indonesia Aero Sport Federation (FASI). (kuk/ebf)
