uthorities are set to close a section of Jl. Daan Mogot which connects Jakarta to Tangerang in Banten, for two days amid construction of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport railway.
State-owned railway operator KAI spokesperson Agus Komarudin said the road closure would start at the 23-kilometer point in Tanah Tinggi subdistrict, Tangerang.
“The closure will take place on Aug. 26 to 27,” Agus said Tuesday, as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.
The closure is needed to install the girder of the elevated railway that passes above Jl. Daan Mogot and the Cisadane River. To close the road, KAI has coordinated with the Tangerang administration, Agus added.
The train will connect the airport with Manggarai Station in South Jakarta and Kota Station in West Jakarta. The operator aims to conduct a trial run in November. (wnd)
