akartans will be able to process a variety of permits and licenses while they are out shopping, following the launch of Jakarta One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) booths at selected malls in the capital.

The agency will be installing permit processing booths at several malls as part of its "PTSP Goes to Mall" program, PTSP deputy head Denny Wahyu Hartanto said in a written statement on Thursday.

The PTSP program was launched on Wednesday with the installation of its first service booth in Lippo Mall Kemang, South Jakarta. Another booth will be opened at the mall on Sept. 20.

The service will also be available at Central Jakarta's Plaza Atrium Senen, where booths will be installed on Sept. 8, Sept. 15, Sept. 22, and Sept. 29.

The statement said the program was hoped to ease the processing of permits and licenses to encourage more Jakartans to obtain the necessary administrative documentation.

“This is our attempt [...] to ease both permit and non-permit processes for the public," Denny said in the statement. (agn)
