O

ne hundred small and medium creative economy business players from Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) participated in financial management training courses offered by the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf).

The financial management training program is among the government’s efforts to improve creative economy players’ access to banking services.

“We [Bekraf] are striving to promote understanding on the importance of financial management in developing businesses,” Bekraf banking access director Restog K.Kusuma said during the opening of the training program on Friday.

“We have also invited state lender BRI [to participate in the training program] with the hope that creative economy players can understand how they can access financial services,” he said.

Restog further said that the creative economy players participating in the training had been running their businesses for at least one year. They had developed their own brands and wanted to expand as well.

Similar financial management training courses have previously been offered in several other cities, such Manado, Pontianak, Medan, Pekanbaru and Yogyakarta.  (ebf)
