View all search resultsirector General of Taxation Ken Dwijugiasteadi said on Thursday that as of Nov. 30, his office had collected 78 percent of the Rp 1.28 quadrillion (US$89.85 billion) targeted tax revenue for 2017.
In November alone, the government aimed to collect Rp 126 trillion, but as of 10 a.m. on Thursday, the office had only collected Rp 114 trillion, said Ken.
“The Rp 114 trillion tax revenue does not include the taxes to be paid by permanent business entities, including G,” said Ken at his office in Jakarta, referring to Google.
He said Google had promised to pay its outstanding taxes on Thursday. He, however, did not reveal the amount to be paid.
The tax office announced last month that it had collected Rp 991.2 trillion in taxes as of October, about 67.3 percent of its target. (bbn)
