tate-run bus company Perum PPD launched on Monday feeder services connecting airport train station Sudirman Baru to Gambir Railway Station, both in Central Jakarta.
Buses to and from Blok M in South Jakarta will also be available.
Trips currently have a promotional fare of Rp 5,000 (37 US cent) and are expected to transport passengers from outside Jakarta.
"The buses will operate from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., and depart every hour," Perum PPD announced via its Instagram account @perumppd.
President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo inaugurated on Jan. 2 train services connecting Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, and downtown Jakarta.
The new routes are expected to help reduce traffic and encourage both Jakartans and visitors to use public transportation instead of private vehicles. (fac)
