View all search resultstreet vendors were seen operating on sidewalks along one of the city’s main roads, Jl. Sudirman in the Bendungan Hilir area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday evening.
Offering their merchandise to pedestrians passing through the sidewalks, they occupied the sidewalks from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
One of the vendors, Alex, said they had been occupying the sidewalks for three months after they were evicted. Therefore, Alex and other vendors decided to move to sidewalks near the Bendungan Hilir bus stop.
“We have no other place to go,” Alex said as quoted by kompas.com. (wnd)
