eavy rain in Bekasi, West Java, on Monday afternoon caused a billboard on Jl. Cemerlang in Jatibening, Bekasi, to collapse and block the road.

"The billboard collapsed at around 2 p.m. during heavy rain and strong winds. People ran to avoid it," a witness, Dedi Nur, 41, said as quoted by kompas.com.

Although no casualties were reported in the incident, the road from Jatibening to Kalimalang was closed.

Part of the billboard also destroyed the roof of a local resident's home.The billboard displayed information about the upcoming Asian Games in August. (vny)
