he body of a 6-year-old girl was found in a sack in Kampung Tarkolot, Cibinong district, Bogor regency, West Java, on Tuesday.

Bogor Police chief Adj.Sr.Comr. Andi M. Dicky said the girl, who was identified as GGB, was a resident of Cibinong district, Bogor regency.

GGB’s parents filed a missing persons report with the Bogor Police on Monday. They filed the report at 10 p.m. after their daughter had not returned home since leaving the house at noon on the same day.

A resident reported that GGB was seen playing near a security post besides a mosque in the Bogor Asri residential complex at around 10 a.m. on Monday.

At 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, a neighborhood unit head in Nanggewer subdistrict informed the victim’s family that the body of a girl wrapped in a sack was found in the Bogor Asri residential complex in Nanggewer subdistrict.

Dicky said the police had conducted a crime scene investigation and questioned several witnesses. “We will investigate further,” he said. (vla/ebf)
