T Eurokars Motor Indonesia announced an almost threefold increase in the sales of Mazda vehicles in the first quarter of 2018 to 1,437 units, from 444 units in the same period last year.
It was the biggest increase compared to sales of other automobile brands. The record sales occurred after PT EMI took over Mazda dealerships from Mazda Motor Corporation in 2017.
"We are proud to witness the progress of the Mazda brand in Indonesia [...] thanks to the consumers' trust," said PT EMI president director Roy Arman Arfandy in a statement on Wednesday.
Moreover, Roy said the success was the result of internal consolidation as well as some strategies to boost efficiency and the effectiveness of all the company's resources.
He said he hoped the internal consolidation could help the company attain its target.
Regarding the company's customer services, Roy said PT EMI was organizing Mazda Lebaran Campaign 2018 to ensure consumers' cars were in good condition so they could feel comfortable and safe during their Idul Fitri exodus.
PT EMI will use its Mazda network in Java, Bali and Sumatra to provide services from June 10 to 20. (waw)
