View all search resultsewly appointed Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo welcomed guests on the first day of Idul Fitri to an open house event in South Jakarta on Friday.
He opened his doors at 1 p.m. after Friday prayers. Despite the rain that showered Jakarta, guests swarmed to the central bank governor's official house on Jl. Patiunus, South Jakarta.
The guests included banking officials such as Bank Mandiri president director Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, Citibank Indonesia CEO Batara Sianturi, BI officials such as spokesperson Agusman, BI senior deputy governor Mirza Adityaswara, as well as Japanese and British embassy representatives.
Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Pandjaitan also stopped by for a short visit. He arrived with his wife at 2:35 p.m.
Perry served various dishes to his guests. The food on offer ranged from Japanese rice bowls to the famous goat soup made by Dudung Roxy, which started its business on the street. He also served durian pancakes. (ris)
