Ghost Parade, a horror game developed by Lentera Nusantara Bandung, and Ultra Space Battle Royale, a fighting game created by Surabaya-based Mojiken Studio, were among the most prominent games at the convention.

"We are very happy that Ghost Parade has been released worldwide on multiple gaming platforms. It's like a dream come true," said Lentera Nusantara CEO Azizah Assatari.

Bandung-based Agate Studio showcased its latest role-playing game, Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story, which is set to be released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch game consoles by the end of the year.

The convention saw the announcement of a film adaptation of DreadOut, a hit Indonesian horror game developed and released by another Bandung-based studio, Digital Happiness, in 2014. Filmmaker Kimo Stamboel is set to direct the adaptation.

"The upcoming DreadOut film will mark the first collaboration between the film and gaming industries in Indonesia," Bekraf head Triawan Munaf said, adding that he would support future collaborations between the two industries.

The gaming convention will be held until Sunday, June 15. (rfa/wit)
