A skylift provided by the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency will be available to bring visitors all the way to the top of the monument, Monas management head Mundjirin said on Monday as reported by kompas.com.
Other new features include a fire truck, on which visitors can enjoy a tour of the park, and a flying fox ride.
The Jakarta Transportation Agency has also offered up its traffic motorcycles to be on display for a unique photo opportunity.
And for sports enthusiasts, sports equipment such as badminton rackets and shuttlecocks will be available for only a small rental fee.
Finally, the Jakarta administration will invite school marching bands to perform every weekend.
Mundjirin added that the management had also provided up to seven praying spaces for visitors.
“We provide a mushala [prayer room] in seven locations. When it is time to pray, we will unroll the praying mats and we will also provide places for wudhu [ablution],” he said. (ami)
