ouse renovation and student subsidies have been included in next year’s poverty eradication program in Depok, West Java, with some Rp 83 billion (US$5.4 million) allocated in the budget.

Depok Deputy Mayor Pradi Supriatna said the funds would be allocated to the renovation program for uninhabitable houses (RTLH) and financial subsidies for students from low-income households.

“This is the poverty eradication budget for 2019. The figure is a continuation of previous programs by the Depok administration,” Pradi said at Depok City Hall on Sunday as quoted by kompas.com.

He added that the administration had registered hundreds of uninhabitable houses that would be granted the renovation subsidy in 11 districts.

Pradi said the program would be for 51 houses in Beji district, 40 in Cimanggis, 109 in Limo, 183 in Pancoran Mas, 133 in Sawangan, 253 in Sukmajaya, 88 in Tapos, 34 in Cinere, 201 in Cipayung, 46 in Bojongsari and 64 in Cilodong. (gis)
