ap water company PT Aetra Air Jakarta (Aetra) announced through a statement that it would temporarily halt clean water supply to customers living in East Jakarta from 10 p.m. on Sunday to 3 a.m. on Monday.
The disruption is due to maintenance work being done at Aetra’s Buaran water treatment facility.
The affected subdistricts are: Cipinang Melayu, Pondok Kelapa, Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit, Pondok Bambu, Malaka Jaya, Malaka Sari, Klender, Cipinang Muara, North Cipinang Besar, South Cipinang Besar, Cililitan, Kebon Pala, Halim, Cipinang Cempedak, Rawa Bunga, Bidara Cina, Cawang, Kampung Melayu, Bali Mester, Kramat Jati, Kampung Makasar, Pinang Ranti, Dukuh, Lubang Buaya, Batu Ampar, Kampung Tengah, Kampung Gedong and Batu Kambang.
"We suggest our customers in the affected subdistricts to collect clean water [before the suspension] and use that until Monday," the statement read. (vla)
