Ten minutes into the ride, one suspect strangled the victim with the rope. He was also stabbed.

The suspects disposed of Jan’s body in the Ciracap River, Pasar Kemis, Tangerang regency, after tying a rock to his hand.

His son reported that he had lost contact with his father on Monday. At the time, the victim had reportedly picked up a passenger, identified as Y, in Duta Harapan Indah, North Jakarta. (fac)
