A

baby boy was found crying by the edge of Jl. Perimeter Selatan, near Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on Monday morning.

Soekarno-Hatta airport spokesman Haerul Anwar said the baby was found alive and healthy.

“The baby was found by a PT Gatran company employee named Idup. He then directly reported the finding to an aviation security officer,” Haerul said as quoted by kompas.com.

Haerul said the baby was found at 5:40 a.m when Idup was driving through the road. Idup heard a baby crying out loud and so he searched for the source of the noise

Idup found the baby lying on the grass covered with a cloth.

The baby, which is estimated to be 1 month old, was then taken to the health office of the airport to be fed before being handed over to the airport police to be taken care of. (gis)
