A man was found dead hanging under a bridge on Jl. Catur, Menteng Dalam, Tebet district, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Head of neighborhood unit (RT) 2 community unit (RW) 1, Dedi Kusnadi, said the body was found by a public facility maintenance (PPSU) worker.
“[The body] was found by a PPSU worker who was cleaning the Kali Baru River. The worker found the body hanging under the Catur Bridge,” Dedi said as quoted by tempo.co.
The man's body was found wearing a yellow long-sleeved T-shirt and brown trousers. He was hanged from the neck using a piece of clothing.
The worker found the man at around 8 a.m, Dedi said.
“The case is now being investigated by the police. We do not know whether the man committed suicide or was murdered and then hanged,” he added. (gis)
