Iranian man found dead from apparent suicide at Soekarno-Hatta

The body has been taken to the hospital for an autopsy.

n Iranian man identified as IG was found dead from an apparent suicide at a park in the Terminal 3 area of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday morning.

Airport staff called the police after discovering the body .

“The body was found by airport staff passing the location on Wednesday at 6:15 a.m. The man appears to have hanged himself,” Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police chief Sr. Adj. Comr. Victor Togi Tambunan told kompas.com on Wednesday.

The police also found a bag they suspect belonged to the man at the scene.

“After going through documents in the bag, we suspect the man is an Iranian citizen. We didn’t find any dangerous items in the bag. It contained some clothes,” Victor said.

He said the body had been taken to Kramat Jati Police Hospital for an autopsy. (das)
