he campaign team of Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Ma’ruf Amim will be officially dissolved at an event for members of the team on Friday.
“The main agenda will be silaturahmi [friendly gathering] and the official dissolution of the campaign team of the coalition,” said deputy secretary of the team Verry Surya Hendrawan on Wednesday, adding that the event would start at 4 p.m.
He said the attendees would include the campaign team’s advisors, treasurers, directors, spokespersons and coordinators, adding that the mission was complete as Jokowi-Ma’ruf had been declared the winners of the election.
“So [the team] is wrapped up,” Verry said as quoted by Antara. “Everyone will return to their respective political parties or mass organizations, while remaining in support of the future government.”
He said that the next task for the former team members was to support the government under the leadership of President Jokowi and vice president-elect Ma’ruf Amin for the 2019 to 2024 term (dmy/bbn)
