Five substations in Jakarta have yet to be reactivated, the company said in a statement. They are located in Rawa Buaya, Semanan and Grogol, all three of which are in West Jakarta.
PLN also has yet to activate 81 substations in the outskirts of Jakarta and in Banten, mostly in Jasinga in Bogor, West Java, and Lebak, Banten.
“Access to these two areas was cut off [by floods and landslides]. Vehicles can’t enter the locations; all equipment needs to be carried in. We will continue to try and restore power but we need time,” said PLN deputy director Darmawan Prasodjo.
